Robert is a freelance designer, photographer, outdoors person and occasional rambler based in Scotland. His work focuses upon peoples relationships with the world and the deep interconnection between humans and the natural world.

Fluctuating between exploration and documentations of spaces, people and culture, and the research and subsequent design, focussing upon sustainable futures for communities and the environments they live within, Roberts work reflects his passion for honest storytelling and the outdoors. With his work taking him from the remote islands and peaks of his home in Scotland to places far away such as the displacement camps of souther Türkiye(Turkey), his work searches for genuine human connections and exploration.

Whilst much of his time is spent working, his spare time is spent running, climbing, sailing, cycling or swimming in natural places - normally with camera in hand or in a dry bag nearby, or sitting with a cup of coffee or beer while whittling spoons and listening to music.

Most people have proper professional photographs to go here, unfortunately due to my tendancy to be holding the camera there aren’t any of those. Instead, enjoy these photos of me doing things but rarely looking at the camera.
